Zephaniah Smith of Leeds/Rastrick/Huddersfield WRY

Hi :wave2: I'm from Huddersfield. Just thought that I would add my Zephaniah Smith to the list since you don't seem to have any Z's yet:)
I am stuck with his birth, claimed to be from Leeds in the census, born around 1796. I can't find him there but there were earlier Zephaniahs in Birstall and Brighouse.
He married Elizabeth Aston at Halifax on 23 Aug 1827 and they had the following children born at Rastrick:-
Frances abt 1828
Edward abt 1831
Joseph abt 1834-my ancestor, married in Huddersfield
Thomas abt 1836
Jane abt 1837
Elizabeth abt 1840
I have had no luck finding their baptisms either so any help would be appreciated.

to >> the Smith List >>, but we will eventually include yours there too. (it will be good to see your Zephaniah starting off a "Z" initial list!!)

In the meantime, hopefully someone else will call here and recognise your Smith family & maybe you'll find connections. Have you tried the various Yorkshire databases that are online? Check our >> Links Cabinet >> for any sites there that you might not have already explored.
