| Hi Pitside and welcome to the forum, although my paternal grandmother was named Elsie Smith i doubt she is the one you are looking for as she was born in Dewsbury West Yorks and lived most of her life in Wakefield West Yorks. Do you have any other information on your Elsie ? Maybe a date of birth or maiden name anything that could help track down or identify your Elsie. Hopefully other forum members will pop in and help with your search. Regards Robert.

| Hello pitside and Robert, pitside, I've moved your topic from the East & South-Lancs Board to this board for West Riding Yorkshire which includes the Huddersfield area. Hopefully more folks with WRY interests will find it here. In fact Huddersfield is only about 14 or 15 miles from Wakefield, where Robert's Elsie Smith lived, and with Dewsbury on route....... map >>> But as Robert said, could you give us some approximate dates pitside, such as when your Elsie Smith would have lived in the area, and around what year she was born, and was/is Smith her married name? |
