this may be of use to many...........
I have put together a list using Excell, of the crew of the
HMS Glorious,
HMS Ardent, and
HMS Acasta
that were all sunk off Norway on June 8 1940, with the loss of 1517 lives and only 39 survivers.

The list I have has a great many next of kin details. I may in time try and get other sunken ship details but these too will take a long time to acquire .......my interests are on the military side of those people who originate in Lancashire. If anyone is interested in finding out about an ancestor in WW1 or WW2 the please let me know I may have a small piece in the puzzle you are after.

There are of course many more persons of other surnames in Mike's Database, which also include some RAF Servicemen. If you find relatives of other surnames, it would be appreciated if you would let him know, and for the interests of other researchers please post the details on this topic. Or, please share any additional information you have about the tragic circumstances of the 8th June 1940.
