One of my two cats, Bob, went missing yesterday, was missing all night & I've been worried about him all day today. About quarter to midnight - about half an hour ago - he was miaowing at the door!! Oh wonderful!! what a relief!! I can now sleep peacefully tonight!!

Did you get all you wanted Maxine? Hope so & have a nice Boxing Day!

Thats great news about your cat. mines too old to wander too far these days being 17. but when one one the hens escaped then i was worried and a neighbour had her and now she has her own hens.

the children are getting mine in the sales. i told them to do that. i'm getting a watch.
work sent me a presy which was nice.
my husband is practical and got me a dyson hover last week.(yes mine last hover broke. he presented it to me and said Merry Christmas.

i would have like my daughter to be with me but was with her fiancee. i have to let go at sometime

but at least shes home tomorrow

love maxine

Yes its hard letting them go, isn't it!! But anyway - you can enjoy some time with your daughter tomorrow.

Perhaps we should start a Board for members who are Pet Lovers!! and add photos of our beloved dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits & birds?? (well, I only have cats). Will have to think about that.

Going to do the "word" thingy now then signing off.

Goodnight!!

Morning my friends,

Just a quick before it gets mad today .. it's a family day .. son & family coming up from the midlands then we are all off to our daughters for dinner this evening and all the grandchildren can play together, so lunch here then off.

As you may have guessed Matty was our cat .. she died aged 20 bless her so I now use her name a lot in memory of her .. so a pet lovers page would be brilliant .. may get more interested,

Have a good day, Matty

You have a good day too Matty with your family. Lovely story about your Matty the cat.

Have added a new "Pet Lovers" smiley category in the posty's drop down box "view more emoticons". lovemycat

Will you let me know if you come across any other animal or bird smileys anywhere, anytime? then we can add them. Will start a "Pet Lovers Corner" Board soon. As well as chat about present-day pets, could post any photos of our ancestors with their pets?? I have a nice photo of my great-grandma Hughes (nee Downes) with her dog Rover, on the steps of the old Blackburn Tech College. And a lovely one of my mum & her sister as little girls in the 1930s in their grandma's back-yard, cuddling her kitten!!

My great-great grandad John Higham was a bit of a wanderer it seems. He went travelling around the world and brought a monkey back to Blackburn from India!! Apparently, Blackburn had never seen anything like it before!! (ooh wish I had a photo of him & the monkey!! )

Have a Great day!!

Hi Carole,

I have a photo of Matty but if I go to "insert image2 I have to have an url .. help .....................

Don't ask how I did that ... but its not Matty but one I use as my Avator on another site.

So it's still HELP

Hiya mattycat,
Did you insert this kitten image before you discovered the "servimg" thingy - & managed to just copy & paste it here, I'm wondering? I'm still exploring the different ways of doing things here too!!

It would be good to find some more of these type of images for the "Avatar" gallery.Carole

Hi Carole,

I am not sure how I inserted the kitten but after I think it was after that I found the "servimg" which is very good. before I was trying to do it by the yellow envelope "insert image" but you need an url! . I have Photo Bucket (same as serimg) but I get things in there and can't get them out! All trail and error but then I forget how I have done it.

ps I did it by clicking on the avator .. copy then back onto "SmithChat" and click paste. I am using servimg
Carole wrote:
Well those images you posted look great!!
I'm clicking on the yellow envelope icon to insert a url for one of the images in Smith Project's Filestore...

May Flowers
OH NO!! it appeared OK on the posty but not when sent???
better try servimg.......................

Using servimg to add the Flowers Image.

Great!! oh yes, its quite simple to do from there, isn't it.

2007 is almost here! Wow!

.........and I would also like to say
"Happy New Year to everyone"
