the central civil repository for records relating to Births, Deaths and Marriages in the Republic of Ireland (Southern Ireland/Eire)
The General Registry Office of Northern Ireland
for administration of the registration of births, deaths and marriages through the 26 Northern Ireland Districts Registration Offices.
The National Archives of Ireland
holds a wide variety of records, many of which are relevant to Irish genealogy and local history. Site includes online finding aid databases.
