A new Login-box is now in place at the top of the
right-hand column on >> The Portal >>

As members will already know, once you have logged-in, you are automtically taken to the Forums Index page. But if you then click on the shortcut button at the top of any page, to return to the Portal - you'll now see that the Log-in box will have changed to show your Username, Avatar (if you have one) your number of posts & private messages to date, and a quick link to your profile.
