| Thanks Maxine - Adam Smith now featured on our new 2008 Calendar for June & I've included a note, as you've probably seen, about his picture on our current £20 notes

Thanks for the W.H.Smith link Maxine - that's an important one not to be missed out!! Have merged your original post from this thread (copy quoted above) to your other Topic on the UK board...... William H Smith 1792 London (W.H.Smiths booksellers) because I've collected a few snippets of info from the website you mentioned, also found an image of William Henry - so I'll add it to that other Topic asap.
Might include William Henry Smith for the Calendar's feature for July, but not decided properly yet on the July to December ones. Quite a few of them have the same months of birth - so need to attach to a month of some other significance for each person.

| I'm not sure that we have included Horace Smith already in this thread, so just copying my notes & image that I posted in one of Don's Beagle Logs a while back.........
So Horace can be featured one future month on the Smith Project Calendar.
The Beagle Log topic also includes more information about Horace Smith, posted by Don, and more recently by Evan Smith......... The Beagle Log, 24 Aug 2007 - Who was Horace Smith Don and Evans posts include more links to web-pages about Horace Smith, and this one that Evan included.... has a nicer image of Horace.......... | Hi everyone,
Just a note to say I haven't forgotten that our "Notable Smiths - Smith Project 2008 Calendar" has to be completed now for July to December. Gillian has been helping me sort out who to have for each month, from our collection so far. So will be done soon, hopefully before July starts (oops!! not long off!!). We now have more "notable Smiths" than we have months left in 2008 - and so the same theme will be continued through 2009. Please keep posting any more you think deserve a place on our Calendar!! _________________ Carole, Smith Project/Smith Chat Admin Nothing is too small to know, and nothing too big to attempt (William Van Horne)
