Our Isle of Man sub-board (in our Lancashire, West Riding Yorkshire & Isle of Man Forum) has been inaccessible for quite a while now. This will be re-opened as soon as possible, but in the meantime please post your Isle of Man Local and Family history interests on this "Other counties" board. Once the Isle of Man board is re-opened, the relevant topics will be transferred.
Reason for extended temporary closure of the Isle of Man board:
Several months ago, local history topics included there had become distorted when images went missing from them. (Since then, measures have been taken so that this will never happen again within the Smith Chat Forums). As a result, some of the topics had to be deleted, and others need re-vamping. Unfortunately to date I haven't had time to complete that job due to other ongoing work on the sites, and there is no other moderator as yet for the Isle of Man board.

| Hello everyone,
We had hoped to have the Isle of Man Board opened & up and running again by now, so really sorry but it will be delayed a little while longer yet. Our Moderator Maxine has been having to take some time out due to family emergencies and so we are "short-voluntary-staffed" at the moment with tons to do!! But Isle of Man will be opened as soon as ever possible.
