Hi am new here and my name is Chellin2 and I am from Perth Western Australia and am looking for any information on the Smiths from Mitcham in Surrey. One in Particular is Josiah Smith born 1835 married to Alice Lane born 1836. They were gypsies I believe and always lived in the Mitcham/Carshalton area, one address that I have is Acre Lane Mitcham, I dont know if that is a house or a caravan??? They have unusual names like Noah, Vanslow, Lemantamia, Nelson. The Gardners were also part of the family, any information would be gratefully recieved.

Hi everyone

As you know, on my side of the family I have many Smiths including my grandmother.

Well today I have found another Smith on my husbands side.

She was Elizabeth Smith born in London in 1843 and she married John Horton born in London in 1845.

So this means I have Smiths on both sides, I look forward in finding more information on Elizabeth and will let you know
