Hi genradcliffe and Happy New Year to you.
I got back to you at last!
I'm thinking you might already have the 1880 US Census data for Pearl & her mum Christina? If not - below is the transcription from the LDS database.......
(but you'd need to check the original image of course to be sure this is a correct transciption)Anyway, this confirms that Christina is widowed by 1880, & that she was born in Wurtenburg (presumably that is in Germany)
This says that Pearl's father was born in England, but of course, that proves nothing, as many people think of the Isle of Man as being part of England, & Christina probably thought that too and gave that information. The later Census's you have are probably more precise - ie Isle of Man for father's birthplace.

Is there a US Census for 10 years earlier than this?? ie around 1870? If so, Pearl's dad should probably be included on that one, as her younger brother Freddie, according to the above, was born c1872.
If you could get Pearl and Worden's marriage record (?? 1890s) then that would probably give you Pearl's father's name.
Hope you can find Mr. Radcliffe's first name at least, & year of birth would be even better. haa haa

It would be very interesting to be able to follow it through & see if we can trace his birth/baptism in the Isle of Man.
Chat again soon & please keep us informed.
