When I’m Gone.

If all thoughts of a setting sun dream.
Are foreclosed by the man above.
This doesn’t mean the end of life.
Or our ability to love.

As one of us goes on.
With the other left behind.
Then the other knows that love one day.
In time that they will find.

We know the path is lonely.
Without someone to share.
Our joy, our love, our passion.
And yet your always there.

I once spoke to an angel.
He said that if it’s me.
I would know the time to go.
And when to set you free.

My family are like stars in the night sky of my life.
Always there at the end of the day.
The light of their love forever constant as the Northern star.
Safely guiding me home.
Dreams are the realities of tomorrow.
Everyone is in tune with the spirits of their ancestors. Unfortunately some are tone deaf.

Thank you Daz, this is another really lovely one - in fact it is beautiful & brought a tear to my eye. I love your new Father's Day poem too - and have pinned that one to the Calendar - today's date - 15th June, for Dad's day 2008.

Both these new ones now included in your Index.
