Joannes Birthday today so wrote a poem for the card. Thought I would share it.
On Your Birthday.The early morning sun
Lies gently on your face.
Eyes closed and lost in dreaming
Of your perfume just a trace.
Do you dream of past and present
Or the future in your head.
What film is playing in your mind
What script is being read.
And as I hear you stretch and sigh
Dream coming to a close.
I leave on the pillow beside your head
My love with a single red rose.

My family are like stars in the night sky of my life.
Always there at the end of the day.
The light of their love forever constant as the Northern star.
Safely guiding me home.
Dreams are the realities of tomorrow.
