The Passing Lady.

I didn’t know just what to say.
To meet and talk or walk away.
And yet I see you pass me by.
And let you go and wonder why.

I don’t tell you what I feel for you.
This stranger, this beauty, I wish I knew.
You walk on past your thoughts elsewhere.
I wish you’d turn to show you care.

But you walk on by without a glance.
And so there is no second chance.
But I wish you felt just how I feel.
And then you’d know my love is real.

I see you now most everyday.
Love for the chance to hear you say.
Your name and can we meet again.
And then I’ll know you feel the same.

I hope my words did make you smile.
Or for a moment, else a while.
Did cause your mind to look elsewhere.
And know there is someone to share.
