| A Chance Glance.
On a highway out of nowhere Going somewhere way on high. Reflected sadness in your eyes I see Run down your mirror as you cry. The God of passion weeping for you Your wipers brush aside his tears. As our eyes meet in your mirror I see your hopes, your dreams, your fears.
I will never see your face again Or ever know your name. But my eyes say look inside your heart To know you’ll love again.
Dry your eyes the lights are changing It’s your life you’re rearranging. Close your eyes now to the past Look to a future that will last.
On a highway out of nowhere Going somewhere way on high. Reflected sadness now turns to a smile As again I catch your eye. © DWSmith 2007-11-09. >> Back to Index to Daz's Poems >>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My family are like stars in the night sky of my life. Always there at the end of the day. The light of their love forever constant as the Northern star. Safely guiding me home. Dreams are the realities of tomorrow. Everyone is in tune with the spirits of their ancestors. Unfortunately some are tone deaf. Copyright. Daz.2008.
| Daz, this is another wonderful one that I've never commented on before. And sorry :ck-shocked: - I've just made a bit of a muck of it!! :ck-hrrmm: When you have a few minutes to spare, please will you sort it into the separate verses again - I went into it, to edit the index link & then when I re-sent it - it all flopped together, into one of those continuous paragraphs that keeps happening when trying to center. (that problem is not properly fixed yet) So I've justified it all to left margin, and then split into the separate lines (as I think you'd posted them originally) but I can't remember where it was split into verses. Ooh sorry!! anyway this one is already in your index. Cas :ck-wink: |
It's more for children. I wanted to see if I could get it published but I'm trying to think how to go about it.
Love Daz. xxx |
| Daz wrote: | HI all. Hope all of you are well. Thanks for all your encouraging comments they are much appreciated. Thanks also to Colette who I don't know yet, and for reading the other poems. I will see how it goes with King Arthur, which is only a childrens poem anyway. I haven't the time really and will probably put it on anyway. If it's ok with Cas I could put it on for a week for your comments and then take it off, that way it's for editorial comment only. Let me know what you think. Lots of love Daz xxx |
| Carole wrote: | Hi everyone,
yes that's a good idea Maxine. Daz, you could post it either here if you prefer - or on Special Permissions board for reading by members only, & for members' comments. Keep it there for as long as you wish and then either myself, Maxine, Don or Gillian will be able to remove it - when you ask us to.
See y'all later
| Hiya Daz, I've just created a new separate sub-board in the "Special Permissions Group" Forum, for "SP Group Suggestions & Queries".
Have moved the King Arthur poems from photos board into that new sub-board. And have split the last few posts from this "Chance Glance" topic (copies quoted above) to a new topic there......... >> King Arthur Poems by Daz for any Feedback >> You might want to change the subject title of it, to whatever you think fit? and you might want to add anything else to that topic there yourself too, telling folks what you'd like from them. I will copy your editing permissions for your poems to the Special Permissions Chat Board too Cas xxx |
