I am new to this site and have just read you are looking for Smiths from Edge End row. I am not sure but this row used to be called Clinkham ...a quarry of the same name being behind the cottages. The quarry is long gone ..used as landfill in the seventies. During my family history research.. I have found I have a GGGrandfather of the name Robert Smith, GGGrandmother named Margaret... they lived at 13 Clinkham. They had four children...James,John, Mary Jane and Isabella... Mary Jane was eventually my Great Grandma. They lived at Clinkham round about 1881. I have a little more information if you think it might be relevant to your own history..just let me know.

Hi Lynn,
It looks as though Gary hasn't been back since your message to him here.
I think I've probably already mentioned to you both - that my Smiths were from WRY early 1800s - then to Burnley c1820, then my line to Blackburn c1860.
