| Please post on this topic, Websites' Links for inclusion in Smith Project's List: >> East & South East Lancashire Local History and Genealogy Resources' Sites >>for East & South-East Lancs Districts: Blackburn, Burnley, Clitheroe, Haslingden, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale,Oldham, Salford, Manchester, Ashton-u-Lyne, Chorlton, Barton-on-Irwell, Leigh (nb: Wigan District links can be posted here &/or South-West Lancs) ___________________________________________________________last update Nov 2008 This site had been included in our East & S.East Lancs list as...... Parish The Thought:: Lancs Parish Reg's Transcripts by L.R.Burton but now removed, as it no longer appears to be active. This could be because most, perhaps all, of Lyn R. Burton's transcriptions are now included in the databases at the Lancashire OPC Project (Online Parish Clerks)
Thanks for that Maxine, it's a lovely site about Whitworth in the Rossendale Valley. It's now been added to our E & SE Lancs List. Gay J Oliver's Tameside Local & Family History Website URL has changed, and so the link has been updated in the Links Cabinet - both Lancashire & Cheshire Categories, and on the East & South-East Lancs List page.

| Hiya folks, I'll be updating the East & South East Lancashire links list soon. Please post any new relevant links here that could be added (East & South-East Lancs genealogy or local history). This is a good one for anyone interested in Blackburn history - old images of Blackburn, each (or most of them) with a modern-day photo taken of the the same scene.
