:wave2: For anyone who isn't already aware of Williamson Park in Lancaster, this is somewhere worth a visit if you ever get to that area.
The Ashton Memorial stands at the highest point of Williamson Park and at the time it was built, was given the nickname "the folly" by the locals.
The Memorial was commissioned by James Williamson, Lord Ashton as a tribute to his late wife, who was born in Lancaster, and construction began in 1906.
