PS - notice how very few SMITHs we have in the above Districts! and the same applies to Preston Area & Central & West Lancs [ie: Preston - Southport (North Meols) areas]. That appears to correspond with the uncommoness of the surname in those areas, historically, compared to East, South-East and South-West Lancashire!! |
