Trying to find the Smith history and relations in/from PA and WI, and the Radcliffe/Radcliff family from Isle of Man...
...Worden G. SMITH [Born ~1868 in Pennsylvania - lived mostly in and died in West Allis, WI …Married in ____ to Pearl E. RADCLIFFE [Born ~1869 in Wisconsin - Died ? in West Allis]. Worden was an "Expert Accountant", reportedly a bookkeeper in Factory ...Wordon's Dad (name = ?) was also born in Pennsylvania and his mom (name = ?) was born in Canada (French Canadian) ...any help going back further on Worden G. Smith (either paternal or maternal) is greatly appreciated!
Worden and Pearl Smith (nee Radcliffe) had 7 children all in West Allis/Milwaukee, WI: (1) Harvey E. Smith (1898 - ?, married 2x: Betty Smith and Sue Smith), (2) Nilla Bell Smith (1899-1975 -k'garden teacher), (3) Helen Smith (twin to Nilla - infant death), (4) Ruth L. Smith (teacher, died at 35), (5) Florence P. Trotts (nee Smith, married Kenneth Trotts and had 3 kids JoAnne, Sharon and ?? Trotts), (6) my GF, DWIGHT W. SMITH (1903-1981, married to my GM,Phoebe Smith (nee Haase nee Papenau nee Decanter-Blanchard) and they had 5 kids: Dwight Smith, Shirley Patzwald nee Smith, Beth Wilcox (nee Smith now in Wautoma, WI), Robert Smith (now in Daytona, FL), Marlys Blader-Crites (nee Smith, now in Stevens Point, WI), and (7) Chester M. Smith
I've gotten my GM, Phoebe Haase back to 1794 in Canada and New York from her maternal side via Papenau nee Decanter-Blanchard)
But I digress! Back to the Smith's ...The 1910 and 1920 Census of West Allis, Milwaukee, Wisconsin says Pearl Smith's (nee Radcliff) father was born in Isle of Man and her mom "Christena Radcliffe" was born in Germany ~1834 ...Christena reportedly had 6 kids but only 2 alive by 1910 (Pearl and _____)
...Who is this Radcliffe from the Isle of Man?! I'd est he was born ~ 1825-1834 and married Christena Radcliffe around 1852-ish, but have no idea if that was in Isle of Man or WI
Thanks all! |
