Hello Smith Chatters,

This board has been created for anyone who has anything at all of interest to share about Irish ancestry Surname SMITH & RELATED SURNAMES, also about Irish genealogy records & resources, or the geography and history of Ireland.

For anyone with Irish ancestry please make best use of this provision by participating & sharing, & help the Board's success. It could prove very interesting.

wave September 2007

A note to those members who have already posted on the Ireland Board.....

The Ireland Board moved out of the "Around the World" Forum & into
the "Around the UK" Forum, which is now renamed "Around the UK & Ireland".

ie: it includes Southern Ireland which is not part of the UK:
See separate Topic>>>>Glossary - Ireland: Northern Ireland & Eire>>

The Green Usergroup previously known as "Smith-Other UK"
has now been renamed "Smith-Other UK & Ireland"

wave Hi again,

Keeping informed our members with Irish Roots good stuff!!

The Ireland "History, Culture & Communites" sub-board has now been removed. The topics from there have been moved onto the Ireland Genealogy Board.

The Topics by mattycat, which followed the theme surrounding the Potato Famine & the resulting mass emigration of the Irish - have been recompiled into one single Topic thread.

An Index has been posted here......
>> Topics Index: Ireland History, Culture, Communities
