| I was downtown Wednesday taking pictures on the Mall. The weather was great and tourists were at a minimum. I got some good material for future posts. The picture below is of the Reflecting Pool, Washington Monument, and the Capital Building in the background. The later two landmarks were recent subjects of the Beagle Log. In the late 50’s, my father was stationed at Bolling AFB here in the District.. I remember ice skating on the Reflecting Pool.

Now this is a hard question and I doubt many folks here in the States would get it right without some prodding.
Where was the above picture taken from?
A hint, it was taken from the upper level of a famous landmark honoring one of the better known American Presidents from the 19th century. _________________ Don |

| Hola Don! I guess it is something to do with President Lincoln, a memorial or such like? Great photo by the way! Adios Gillian _________________ ''What will survive of us is love.'' Philip Larkin |

| Gillian, Fantastic, you got it. The photo was taken from the upper platform of the Lincoln Memorial. See Saturdays’ beagle Log posting for a continuation. _________________ Don |
