| Today is a historic day - overlooked by most people. On 1 November 1930, The Big Trail, starring John Wayne in his first leading role, was released. The "Duke" played the lead in 142 of his film appearances. I can't name a favorite, but I enjoyed his westerns the most. What are your favorite John Wayne movies? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don

| Hiya Don, jfs & Daz, I'm sure we've been here before (de-ja-vu???) talking about John Wayne & Rooster Cockburn!! and I'd said that my favourite was "True Grit". Did I dream it?? I'm diverting again now - away from John Wayne!! But was just thinking about my favourites TV westerns from my childhood - Wagon Train and the one with Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates??? now was that Wagon Train or the other one that I can't at the minute remember the name of..... where they said "gerrum up, move 'em out!!" See you later Carole xxx PS; I loved Bonanza as well - Little Joe!! |

| I loved the Blues Brothers (Belushi and Ackroyd) version of the song. Which takes me to their film. The Blues Brothers. It was pure mastery of the understated. What do you think. Love to all.
