Hi Robert!

I will contact Carole and see if she can 'sort you out'. It may not be your fault at all. Gillian

Hi Robert,

Was it the first time ever that you'd clicked on the
blue "servimg" banner, which is located at the top right of the posty...........
[2] Left click on little blue banner "servimg"

If it was the first time you'd ever accessed Servimg....
the page that then opens in a new Tab or Window should show a dialogue box which says..........

"To import your email and password of your forum account to create an account on Servimg.com, enter your forum password"
In the field below that, just enter your Smith Chat Password, (NOT Smith Chat Username)
then click the button "import"

Servimg should then automatically import your email address from your Smith Chat Profile - to create the Servimg account.

Then on future occasions when you click on
you will then only need to login with......
your Smith Chat registered email address and password
(NOT your Smith Chat Username)

Are you still having difficulty with any of that Robert?
If so - you can open a new and separate servimg account - which I can tell you how to create.
-------------------
Suggestion - right click on here >> FAQ: How to insert images in posts >> and select "open in new window" - so you can have the instructions open as well, whilst practicing in the posty here.
-------------------

Talk again later

Hi Robert,

Oh no :ck-sad: so sorry you're still having problems with this. There must be a glitch in the system - so I've contacted forumotion/servimg support so they can check it out - and
fix whatever is causing it. In the meantime, please could I ask you to try once more, and if it still doesn't import your login details......

When you get this page...........

Scroll further down that page and you should see another dialogue box (screenprint below). So you can register for an account by using this form.

(Also added the same notes about this to the end of the FAQ topic, just in case anyone else experiences the same problem)

Carole good stuff!!

If any other members do have the same problem - please could you let me know?

Hi Gillian and Robert

Shocked oh heck!! Sounds as though those Gremlins are everywhere at the moment!!

Robert - It's very odd why this is happening. But don't give up!! I'm now attempting, on your behalf, to create a Servimg Account for you. I think I should be able to import your email address from your profile. But not your password - which of course is not known to me nor anyone else, only to yourself. So if I can manage it, I'll create a temporary password for the Servimg acccount, then send it to you privately. Hopefully you'll then be able to log-in to Servimg with it - and then change the password to one of your choosing. I'll tell you how to do that if and when we get to that stage!! good stuff!!

Hi Robert
(and any other members who've had difficulty importing your login details to the Servimg image server)

Really sorry about all this. To cut a very long story short!! -after investigating, I found exactly the same problem as you have Robert and can confirm there is a technical fault which is preventing members from creating new Servimg accounts(although existing members' accounts are functioning as usual). I'm so glad you brought it to my attention Robert & the faults will be resolved as soon as ever possible.

How frustrating!! and just at this time when Don is starting his new photo-posting topics!

Posted a temporary announcement about it here...
Servimg Image Server - temporary fault.
and for anyone who has a different image hosting account, or wants to register for one, the second part of the "How to insert Images" FAQ topic, has been updated
>> from Step[10] >> - to include "insert image URLs from either Servimg or from any other image hosting server"

Thanks for your patience, & hope you're having a lovely weekend.
