you can also save the ones on here to your computer and then upload them to serving.
Going to pm you, Maxine |
Maxine is helping you with this isn't she, jfs, so that's OK - you'll be sorted!!
But just to mention - there are a couple of animations sites links on our Portal - scroll down to "Smith Project's Web Resources Providers" - see column on right-hand side. (these are also listed in the Links Cabinet) I also have 2 or 3 more animations sites to add there soon too, for sites that I've recently used their animations.
The conditions of use with these animations sites, is that we do give them credit by having a link from our site to theirs (otherwise - could be breaching copyright - same as any images from other sites, so have to be careful about that)
But feel free also to copy any of our animations that are already on the site in other Topics - these are mostly in Chit-Chat & Pet Lovers Corner.
Carole

| Another thing I forgot to mention......... Once you've saved an image in servimg & used the URL to input it to a Topic. Be sure not to remove the image from your servimg - as then you are deleting the URL - and so your image will disappear from your Topic, & be replaced by an ugly servimg banner or a red cross. | Hi jfs, To add an Avatar.......Go to your Profile(Click on "Profile" link, in horizontal menu that runs along top of all Forum pages, underneath the banner) That takes you to your "Registration Information" page. Above the Orange Bar that says "Registration Information" See on right-hand side - another horizontal menu... Information | Preferences | Signature | Avatar | Topics watched Click on "Avatar" That takes you to your "Avatar control panel" There you are given 4 options, as you will see. If you want to use an image of your own (ie not from gallery)..... Either the first or second option will be for you....... 1)Upload Avatar from your machine: click browse & locate the image on your computer & select it. or2) Upload Avatar from a URL: "Enter the URL of the location containing the Avatar image, it will be copied to this site"For this you can copy/paste (or type in) the Image URL from your servimg store, or from any other image server When you've done either (1) or (2) as above. Then click on the Save button. You should then get a message....... "Your profile has been updated" Next time you go into your profile - in the avatar control panel you should see your image displayed at the top - with an option to delete it, if you wish. Good Luck!! Will watch out for your Avatar appearing beside all your posts now Carole

Maximum Width of Images in Posts = 480 pxls :flower: When including images in your posts at Smith Chat, please be aware that very wide images will distort the Forum pages, making horizontal scrolling necessary for reading messages text, & so need to be avoided. So please resize or crop your wider images to no more than 480 pixels width, before posting. Thanks EDITED - Revised InfoSince the Announcement was posted above, I've received a few queries....... Please see new FAQ's.........FAQ: How to resize BIG image for posting.FAQ: >> How to share Certificate/other Document - large image >> ________________________________________________________
Hope these help. Carole Thanks Carole

| Hi everyone, I've made this Topic into a "sticky", so that it will always be accessible at the top of the Coffee Break Chit-Chat Board. Otherwise, it may eventually be lost in the archive - and more members in the future might find it useful for practicing posting images. April 2009 A new FAQ Topic with more detailed instructions has now been posted on our "Regulations & Help" Board.... >> FAQ: How to insert images in posts >>
Near the end of that topic, a link has been included to direct to this old "practice" topic. So please continue to practice on here. It doesn't matter if you make a mess!! Also, please post here any queries - and the moderators will be glad to help.
