I remember going to the rugby club disco and on the way from the pub I fell off my stacks and sprained both ankles. Still made the disco though. Just couldn't dance or move from the bar. Flares were so wide I would be dancing away and it looked like I was standing still.....lol Happy days of youth.

Man. He was caught in a living room by the owners.

He said he was leaving presents for the children.

It turns out he had just robbed the house next door and

The presents were theirs. It turns out he’s been doing this

For years.

Now he’s on the run and won’t be available to play in

Any band.

HO! HO! HO! HELLO ALL 'Daft Smith Chatters' around the world!

Thank you to the millions who have jammed the Lapland phone lines expressing support for my campaign. We are now trying to keep the lines free so that people can contact me about urgent and pressing matters to do with Christmas Eve!

My castle is a buzz of activity and it is vital that:
1) all the presents are collected together in the distribution room where they will be wrapped, carefully labelled and sorted ready for the special night.

2) all fairies and elves are well fed and receive brand new sparkly outfits ready for the party season.

3) my sleigh is serviced and painted to ensure there are no mechanical breakdowns.

4) Rudolph and his team need to receive extra cod liver oil and be excercised every night in the Lapland skies to improve their strength and stamina for their 'Round the world in 8 hours' stint.

5) NO DAFT SMITH CHATTER STARTS A SMEAR CAMPAIGN AND MALICIOUS RUMOURS WHICH MIGHT DEMORALISE MY TROOPS AND CAUSE A PANDEMIC OF MASS HYSTERIA!

I wish to thank all the reasonable people in the Smith decendant chattering ranks who understand the challenging nature of my work. Their co operation at this difficult time is much appreciated. As for the Clown who stooped so low and is trying to undermine me............your card is marked mate! Just don't expect any favours at Christmas. No further comment.

A message from Clown.......

he has been around all the circuses in the North-West looking for his old clown buddies, and has got quite a few of them together who are happy to come along and join his act for his big final audition!! So - looking forward to this now.

Hope it's as spectacular as Santa's!!

Another message now received from Clown. He says he's covered all the North East now as well as the North West - drumming up more support from his old circus buddies.

He's now set off drumming

his way around Scotland and says he's been through Edinburgh and just now approaching Glasgow!! Heck!!! then, he says, tomorrow
he's drumming his way around Wales

A Clowns face at Christmas.
There is a story passed word of mouth.
Through time in clown folklore.
Of the reason for the clowns sad face.
And the makeup that he wore.

A clown was present at Christ’s birth.
He wore no makeup He just a smiled.
In the stable one of three wise men.
Bearing gifts for this holy child.

But he was present also at Christ’s death.
A wise man crying out in pain.
“I will not know the joy of love.
Or ever smile again”.

So the man donned a face of makeup.
With the sad smile we know today.
Should a happy one creep upon his face.
The sad one took it away

So when you look upon a clown.
Don’t look at him with mirth.
Look at him with deep respect.
For he was at Christ’s birth.

For Charlie.
Everyone has a clown inside.
That wicked streak you just can’t hide.
So take him out and dust him down.
It’s Christmas time so act the clown.

The best of all was only small.
The little tramp he heard them call.

Twas Chaplin played that cheeky chap.
One after another came some mishap.

He was always there to play the clown.
