| Hi everyone
Weather terrible here today, strong winds and rain in other words "The Great British weather" I hope you are all keeping well. I have been in contact with someone who G/grandmother was my G/grandfather sister. I left a message on Ancestory message board back in 2006. So if you are trying to find someone don't give up hope.
Going out now to do the shopping.
see you soon Love Jean |

| Hola one and all! Well, all I shall say is I have been swimming in the outdoor pool today! The water was actually rough due to the strong wind that was blowing but the was hot on my back. I shall say no more! We do expect rain tomorrow but we may be lucky! Hasta la vista Gillian _________________ ''What will survive of us is love.'' Philip Larkin |

| Hi All. Had a good 3 days at the begining of the week, working in Holyhead at Anglesey Aluminium the weather was great. Gillian, My mum and dad went out to the house 2 weeks ago and text to say the weather is great. I must admit that when we went out (it's only been once) we couldn't find anything to do. It was just the beach and home each day. I would appreciate any info' in case we try again this year. Hope all are well Jean, Maxine, Gillian and will talk again soon. Love to all Ladies. | Hola Daz! When we are 'living' out here we don't do an awful lot of sight seeing mostly because we find it tiring. We like to wallow in the good weather, swim, read, cook, eat and sleep! However, over the years we have been to quite a few places such as Murcia, Orriuela, Elche, Altea, Benidorm, Torrevieja, Cartagena etc. There is a lot to learn, particularly about the history of this fascinating region. I suggest you look on the internet under 'Murcia Tourism' - I seem to recall that you are in the Murcia region? How you travel about will depend on whether you hire a car out there, access to the rail network or local tourist buses. We tend to use all three. We like to park at a local station and use the Alicante - Murcia rail link which connects several places and is cheap. Coach tours, whilst a little regimented get us about without either of us needing to drive and with good visibility of the area. They also alleviate the irritation caused by maps which are continually out of date due to new roads and housing estates sprouting up everywhere! Also there is no parking problem! A local tourist information office should help with finding places to visit. Free English newspapers such as 'Coastrider' list coach trips. If you can give me a more accurate description of where you stay I may be able to help more. I hope this encourages you to visit again and explore! | Good Morning,
Rain clouds are moving northeast - to New York, New England and into the Atlantic. Remainder of the week will be beautiful spring days.
There are two great times of year in the Mid-Atlantic States; spring and fall. Spring, at least in my mind is early April to early June. Earlier its cold and blustery and later it gets hot and sticky.
Not far from here is Bull Run (a subject of an earlier Beagle Log topic). Adjacent to the National Park is a regional park that has several extensive hiking trails. A walking group I’m with visited last week to go on the “Bluebell Trail”. Below is a picture from our outing.
Have a great day.

| Hoa Don! That is my idea of beauty - a bluebell wood in dappled sunlight. Unfortunately no picture can ever do it justice, not really! However, your picture is very evocative and I like it, thank you. We don't have bluebells in this part of Spain but to compensate I was walking alongside the Med. this morning on golden sand, my feet and legs washed by the waves which crashed in due to the strong winds we have been experiencing recently. The sky is blue and the air is warm, wonderful! Hasta luego Gillian _________________ ''What will survive of us is love.'' Philip Larkin |

| Thats beautiful Don. My blue bells are not out yet. Jean, yes Carole has done the calender well half of it so far but its on the sister site >>>HERE>>> Gillian, Its sounds wonderful but today we had a warm day for us and it dried my washing. I didnt have to put a coat on to go and feed the chicken and it inspired me to go and water the herbs on the decking. Yes I said water , they are under cover . Not the same as having the sea though . I had some good news the other day, occy health have said that I can try to go back to work after over 12 months on the sick with my M.E. So I will have to wait now until the office makes a decision. _________________ Maxine Friendship~ Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. - Oprah Winfrey |

| Hola Maxine! That is good news! Keep up the good work so that is nice and warm when I return to England for the summer! This morning when I opened up our front porch the temperature inside was 30º! The pool temperature is also warming up quite nicely and the strong winds seem to have dropped so I am very happy! The roses are coming into bloom in our garden where they grow in the shade. However our neighbour has had fantastic roses in a sunny more sheltered spot for a month or so. There were red roses in bloom for St George's day which is a very important day in Spain. I hope you all enjoyed St George's Day! Gillian _________________ ''What will survive of us is love.'' Philip Larkin |

| Clitheroe is a Lancashire town and its has an auction house, which is for Cattle. On a Wednesday there is a fur and feather auction, a house clearence, small aninmals, and everything else see >>>Link>>> We have bought and sold chickens as well as furniture. We bought a very nice fire place the other week and Ivors sanded it and varnished it and now it looks wonderful. I got a mirror for over the top of it on Wednesday night. that now needs the same treatment. _________________ Maxine Friendship~ Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. - Oprah Winfrey |

| Maxine,
One of my retirement-planned activities was to buy used furniture at action, clean the pieces up, and sell them on the internet. Before I retired, there was an auction-house a few miles down the road. It closed. We found another weekly auction in Alexandria, about 20-miles from home. I picked up a few pieces of furniture and made a tidy profit. Now that auction-house has closed. There are several other places but they are further away and the auctions tend to be at night. There are auctions on Saturday mornings but again at some distance from home. I would have to get up early and forgo my time with the morning newspaper and coffee. Life tends to be tough but I will force myself to get out one of these days. _________________ Don |
