| Hi Carole! I have two Smiths who sailed to the American continent.
Thomas Edward Smith b 14.1.1877 in Liverpool sailed on 'Parisian', Master Joseph Ritchie, to Halifax, Canada. They departed Liverpool on 23.3.1893. I would love to hear whether he has any descendents still in Canada or anywhere else!
Frederick Smith b 26.12.1878 in Liverpool sailed on 'Parisian', Master Joseph Ritchie, to Portland USA. They departed Liverpool 22.3.1894. Again I would love to hear from any relatives!
Their father was George Smith and mother Mary Lightfoot, both of whom were originally from Cheshire although they spent their married life in Liverpool.
Please let me know if you think I can be of help to anyone else seeking relatives. Gillian |

| Hello Gillian,
Thanks for posting this information, it may be of interest to some of our members .. lets hope so.
Also it is very good of you to offer to help members to search for their families. I just keep my eyes open on the boards and then if I think I can help .. I post .. but I am not always successful lol
Take care and I look forward to seeing you soon.

| Hi Gillian,
I know you've gone off to Spain today for another holiday (you lucky thing you!) but you said you might be calling in at Smith Chat anyway, whilst you're away.
As you can see above - I've split your message about your Smiths who emigrated in the 1890s, from the other thread - together with mattycat's reply - So its now here on a Topic thread of your own with its own subject title. So that its more likely to be found by others who might be especially interested in this info
And yes, as mattycat said, thank you very much for sharing this data Gillian.
Bye for now _________________ Carole, Smith Project/Smith Chat Admin Nothing is too small to know, and nothing too big to attempt (William Van Horne) |
