Yep I'm in Australia, Brisbane to be precise, making it very difficult to trace NSW and Victoria. Basically if it isn't online or I can't buy it I have no access to it. Thanks for the welcome. My SMITH is a bit of a hard one as I am sure they all are. I am not sure yet if he may have been a convict too! I am starting a collection lol I already have 4 and my Hubby has 1 so far......What does that say about me :ck-wink: ..... anyway I hope to catch up with you all, I hope there is somone connected to me that would be great!!!

Sorry guys, I missed the last few replies in this thread somehow. Carol, unfortunately I don't know where my Smith's originated as yet. I am pretty sure he was a convict though so when I finally get all of the papers I need and am on the right track I will let you all know. as I said in the other thread, I have a few pretty solid leads I am following at the moment and I will post as soon as I have all the info, I wish I had more resources for the UK for the rest of my family though. I am having trouble with Scottish family at the moment. They're pretty hard buggers to track. lol. Does anyone know much about Scotland?
