Would be happy to join this group. My British roots include my maternal grandmother and Gt. Grandmother who were from Blyth in Northumberland, maternal gt.gt. grandmother who was from Kent, another maternal gt.gt. grandmother who was from Peterborough in Northants and paternal Gt. grandparents who were from Queensbury, WRY - one of whom was Hannah Holdsworth nee Smith, hence my interest in this website. I have a lot of interest in my British heritage and love touring the UK ,seeing where they were born and learning more about their lifestyle. Look forward to hearing more about the group. Janice |

| Hi Janice, Thank you for this information, now moved here to create this new topic. I'm glad you posted it originally on that old 2007 "post your Brits to Australia interests" topic though, (because - oops! need to update that!). Chellin2, the original creator and moderator of our Australia Board (now Australia and New Zealand board), lives in Perth, & as you'll have noticed, contributed a lot here during 2006-07. Unfortunately for us though, Chellin left our moderators team later in 2007 to move onto other committments, but is still a valued member, calls in occasionally, & is glad to know that others still read and sometimes post on this board. But since she left, it has been quiet on here as far as new postings are concerned, apart from a few of our other valued Aussie members who post new topics occasionally. So of course all contributions are always most welcomed, so that hopefully more Australians and maybe New Zealanders too will join us in the future. So please feel free to post as much as you like on this board, Janice, about your own emigrant Brit ancestors, and anything else at all that you would like to share will be most valued.
