| Talk about home town umpiring. What team wouldn't be gutted. Two totally unwarranted 50 metres and a perfectly good goal disallowed, all in the first five minutes. A perfect way to stop a teams run-on. The umps must have had all their money on Freo. lol Lots of luck for the next 3 weeks. The Dons could possibly still scrape in, so it may not be all over yet. til next week John |

| John It wasnt an 18 point win, it was a 63 point win, I think that says it all I dont think it is all over yet for either team, we will both fight back to prove ourselves Chellin |

| Hello John & chellin,
Because the Aus. Culture & Communites sub-board is now "read only" & likely to be that way for quite a while - I've moved your footie thread here to the Aus Gen Board - so that you or others can still access it & write here any time.
Have a Great weekend & enjoy the footie

| Chellin we have a traitor in our midst. A raving lunatic who, like my son and grandson, follows the black and white. Well might they bear the name of convictsRus. Further they don't even follow their local team, the lions. lol Commiserations on your loss, but I still have a glimmer of hope left. Go the bombers. |

Chellin will be missed even if she did barrack for the Dockers. LOL
cRu Your last remark was typical of a pies supporter and will be treated with the contempt it deserves. I only hope some other Victorian Team gets through to the Grand Final so that, if Collingwood scrapes through to the GF, I will have someone to barrack for now that the bombers have fell by the wayside. If however the pies are the only Vic. team through, Horrors of horrors, I suppose I will have to cheer them on. An all interstate GF can be played in Timbuctoo for all I care.LOL

| Its September again and with the run up to the finals, it appears the dreaded disease "The Colly Wobbles" has reared its ugly head. To bad it only affects Collingwood. HA HA HA!!!ROFL. Go the CATS (Geelong). Well with my team out of it I have to support someone, so why not the favourites. John |

| Hi JohnT Nice to see you again and yes we are both out of it now but we tried and thats the main thing. I am with you I think Geelong is the one to barrack for. What a moving game it was at Subiaco when Sheedy and Hird left, Im glad the Sandgropers gave them a good send off. Looks Like Sheedy will be coming to coach at The Dockers, well thats the rumour, we will look after him for you. Take care Chellin |

| Go the Mighty Cats!!!! Well the Footy season has now finished and Geelong ran out easy winners by almost 20 Goals. Yes that is not a mistake, I really do mean TWENTY. Chellin2, ConvictsRus and I will have to wait until next February to get our weekly footy fix, when the night premiership starts. Until then all I can say is, " See the Bombers fly Up UP" Cheers Johnt |

| Hi John,
I'm just having a nosy!! Ohhh!! Aussie Footie season finished? - going to miss it - but will look forward to it starting again in February then!!
Carole
PS; Thanks for the link you added to the Aus Links List last week John. You might have realised I'm in process of a big sort out/tidy up of the Aussie Board - bit by bit - whenever I have half an hour or so in between other stuff. So, of course - very grateful for your input - especially until we get it back off the ground. To keep you informed - considering at present - to combine it as an "Emigrant Ancestors' to Australia/New Zealand" Board. |

| Hi All Footy Fans
Well we can all take a deep breath, smell the liniment in the air,and let out a sigh of relief. FOOTY is back. The first practice / Exhibition match took place between Freo and Carlton in of all places South Africa. Chellin if you read this, dont be too happy because Freo won, after all they only played Carlton. The night premiership starts This month and the season Proper on the third weekend in March. looking forward with bated breath Johnt (Carna Bombers) |
