| Hola Don! Is it the Jungfrau in Switzerland? Hasta la vista, Gillian PS I could have said 'standing in a field!' Perhaps that would be more accurate too! G. |

| Hi Don Is it the Matterhorn? If it is you are either in Italy or Switzerland. Don't know about the pants though. We call them trousers in Britain. What others things are called different names in USA and Britain, an idea for a future "Beagle Log" maybe. Bye JFS |

| Gillian is most accurate - I am standing in a field (more accurately a mountain meadow). jfs1952 gets the answer to the intended question. The mountain in the background is the Matterhorn. The town is Zermatt, Switzerland. In the 1960's, the only way to get there was by train - private cars were banned. It may still be that way. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Don

| Hi bebberbe, Yes it looks great doesn't it - would be lovely to just and have a stroll across that lovely landscape. Puts me in mind of the Von-Trap family (spelt wrong??) in the sound of music........ "Climb every mountain - follow your dream!!" (though that was Austria, of course) Maxine has been there too - she also stayed in Zermatt, Switzerland, as Don did - and Maxine's posted some photos of the Matterhorn too - at her Topic here.......... >>Where am I ? >> I've only just realised they're both talking about the same place! Chat again soon, Carole |
