Hi Don!
I think its Rome. Is it the 'Treffi Fountain' or a similar name? I'm not quite sure. I certainly loved the film although it seems rather a long time since I saw it!!

Hiya Gillian & JFS - oh you two did well!! I think you're both correct - but will see what Don reckons when he comes on later.

Will be sending out a September Newsletter some time during the next few days, to all our Members about recent changes & new stuff - including the Beagle Log, etc etc. Just seem to have had to spend so much time re-organising since mattycat & chellin both left their roles as moderators. So just give me a bit more time & will hopefully "entice" more of our members into Social Club Chat & Beagle Log good stuff!!

The movie Three Coins in the Fountain, a 1954 film, tells the story of three American girls looking for romance in Rome. It stars Clifton Webb, Dorothy McGuire, Jean Peters, Louis Jourdan, Maggie McNamara and Rossano Brazzi. I recall seeing the film on TV many, many years ago; as for the actors, I don’t recall any of them.

Yes JFS, that fine looking fellow in the foreground is me - a lifetime ago.
