Happy St. Patrick's day - may the green beer flow

Many years ago, my mother worked as a nurse at the local hospital. Her co-workers, many being of staunch Irish background, may have been overly indulging in St Patrick’s Day. My mother, not to be outdone where her heritage was concerned (that being Scotch-Irish as noted earlier) wore an orange shamrock to work. This caused no small amount of controversy. The more her co-works made comments, the more her resolve grew. Fortunately, she was working the night shift and was good friends with the others, but it did make for an interesting shift.

Good Morning All,

Another St. Patrick ’s Day has come and gone. One tidbit I picked up was that the first St. Patrick’s day Parade was in Boston in 1761 followed by the 1762’s parade in NYC (see [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Patrick's_Day]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Patrick's_Day[/url])

Parades abounded on the 17^th. A list of worldwide parades can be found at http://www.st-patricks-day.com/st_patricks_day_parades_home.asp; the most surprising being in Dubai.
