"Holiday Mode" configuration now switched off at 1.30pm GMT today 27th December - so we're back to normal service now after the Christmas Hol - so start posting again!! Hope to chat with some of our members later today.

You'll notice that the Forums main Index page and the hierarchical structure of the Forums as a whole has been re-vamped, which I'm hoping will make for easier navigation. The whole content of all our Forums had (in my view) become too hefty for viewing all on the one page. All the Forums now viewable separately - Just click on the link on the main Index page to the Forum you want - once in each separate forum you'll then see our old familiar displays and content, and any included sub-boards.

The "Special Permissions Usergroup" boards which were previously scattered around on different boards, are now all together on a new "Special Permissions Boards" Forum - as you will see.

I'd be grateful for any comments about the new structure - is this preferable to the old format? And if you preferred the old format - why?
And if you have any suggestions for future improvements you'd like to see - I'll be glad to receive those too.

Hi Carole!

Hope you have had alovely time as well as beavering away at these boards! I have enjoyed the festivities and been overfed to my shame. We have our son staying with us so it is very stimulating, we can't just potter along!

I like the new index at first glance. I am hoping it has simplified things, especially for new people. However I will have to use it for a while to really be able to say what I think.

Looking forward to hearing from everyone else.

Well it sounds as though you've both enjoyed the Season's festivities too. After the excitement of Christmas, I've had rather a lethargic day today!! Well - just been pottering!! and "decompressing" as you so nicely put it Don!! Just watched the film on TV - Helen Mirren as "The Queen". First time I've seen it, though I know it won awards - or at least Helen Mirren did for her role. But because of that I think I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come up to my expectations really. I wonder if the Royal family had to give their approval for that film to be released? or what they thought about it? They must have told part of that story if it was all true.

Anyway - Yes - about the new forums index structure. We'll give it until after the New Year Hol and see what the general feeling is about it amongst our regular members, and then to decide whether to switch back to the old format. But I think that new Users will find this new format easier for finding their way around the boards and what we already have here. But we'll see.

New look is good Cas, a change stops us all becoming lethargic also. We will all test and comment.
In Pakistan, I think it was only a question of time and that she was a very brave and courageous lady who loved her Country more than life. God Bless her soul which ever God you pray to.
