Have the preparation for Christmas started in your town yet? In my town, Blackburn, our town centre Christmas illuminations were switched on, on Thursday night, by Kevin Webster of Coronation Street (well that's his character name!! can't just think of his real name at the minute!!) and after the "switch on" - a big fireworks display started from the top of the Town Hall.

Going to Burnley this afternoon to see the musical "Oliver". My niece Zoe is playing Nancy, so looking forward to that. Here's a webpage about it at the Burnley Mechanics Theatre website.. >>Burnley Light Opera present Oliver>>

Oooh!! love that "Have a fun weekend" image, Maxine!! haaa haa that's brilliant!!

The production of "Oliver" at Burnley, which I went to see yesterday - was fabulous!! Thoroughly enjoyed it and so did Ben my grandson, & his mum and my mother-in-law. Even though Zoe is my niece - I have to say she was definitely "the star of the show" in her role as Nancy. Felt very proud of her and tears were in my eyes as she sang "As long as he needs me". The show has had a good review in the papers.
The children who played Oliver, Artful Dodger, and the boys in the workhouse and Fagan's mob of "pocket-pickers" were wonderful too. It was great. Couldn't fault it.

Hi Cas.
Our Lynne took her 4 grand daughters and our Debra to see it last night. Spoke with Uncle Alan today and he said Zoe was fantastic. Give her and everyone our Love and tell her we are all very proud of her.
