Hello

Not a very good day for me. Yesterday I became a victim of the floods. Yesterday morning we had very heavy rain fall in Wales and about 10 am the back was flooded, but then the water seemed to drain away, but about half hour later I saw water coming under the back door. I want out the front and water was pouring out of my neighbour front door. Then when I went back indoors the water had come into my living room. My capret and my leather couches have all been damaged. The insurance people came this morning and I am going to have to move out and stay with my daughter. I don't know when I will be able to move back in. But luckily I am insuranced. Packing my suitcase and will be leaving soon. I'll speak to you soon when I know what is going to happen regards my house.

My copy of Harry Potter arrived this morning, so at least I will have something to take my mind off things.
Bye JFS

Hi JFS,

Oh no!! that's terrible news. So sorry to hear you've been so badly affected by the floods. Yes - I watched a news programme on TV yesterday - the film showed how bad it is in the West Midlands & South Wales. People piling up sandbags around their doors & some families are stuck in the upstairs rooms of their homes. The electricity supply also affected because of the floods - so some are in darkness at night. Its dreadful - yes - thank heavens you have insurance cover - & let us know how it all goes. You've done the right thing getting away from it all - until the worst is over.

Talk soon & keep us informed.

Carole
