Genealogy/research matters: on the most relevant Board at Smith Chat: Post new Topic - or post reply to an existing Topic that interests you.

Personal or other matters: send a Private Message via the Smith Chat platform to
Admin or another "Vigilant" Usergroup Moderator

To submit interests or updates to The Smith List of Lancs, W.R.Yorks, & Isle of Man

At June 2007: Reason for restricting email contact as outlined above.

Recently been receiving emails from Non-members who have read something of interest at the Forums & asking me -

for example -
- to pass on a message to someone about their family history interests, or - to pass on their email address to anyone researching a particular surname.

In future, I'm afraid that any such emails will have to be returned to sender asking them to Register at Smith Chat and post the message themselves at the Forum. I'm unable to maintain an off-site record of email addresses other than those of our Smith Project and Smith Chat Members.

These Forums were created to improve communication between researchers, and so help to reduce the amount of email queries I receive from non Project Members. I'm still receiving far more email than is enough for one person to deal with & so would be grateful if everyone would please make full use of the Forums as they were intended.
